EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

FASD PROJECT OFFICER

(Full Time project position based in Canberra)

NACCHO is the national body which articulates the health and wellbeing needs and interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Managing around 300 fixed and mobile clinics, our 150 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation member services speak authoritatively on what constitutes the effective delivery system of comprehensive primary health care to Aboriginal people, families and communities.

NACCHO in conjunction with the Menzies School of Health Research has been funded by the Department of Health to develop and implement health promotion resources and interventions to prevent and reduce the impacts of FASD on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young children.

The FASD Prevention and Health Promotion Resources (FPHRP) are being developed for New Directions Mothers and Babies Services (NDMBS) across Australia.

NACCHO will provide key project support in the engagement, support and project implementation for participating NDMBS services.

The project has commenced and is funded for a two year period. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-resourced and structured project, work with our dedicated member services and support them to make a direct impact on improved health outcomes in our community.
