Apologies for not replying earlier but we we spent all last week in Darwin at our National Conference
I would like to learn more about NACCHO, I am a community health educator and advanced first responder, I have a friend who is non-indigenous and in need of help, She is a mental health survivor, currently mainstream practices are failing her and at times worsening her conditions, the impact of transitioning to NDIS practice has become toxic. As a post graduate of Indigenous Trauma Recovery Care and Practice I know that she would beneath greatly from accessing indigenous health services as they have a better understanding of her needs for holistic/integrated care. Can you advise me how I can help my friend who is falling between the cracks in mental health care, and I know that some of the traditional healing practices would work for her. I am currently in Darwin and my friend resides in Ipswich Queensland. My email is chris.trotter1@outllook.com. Any help you can provide in this matter will be greatly appreciated, I would very much like to help my friend out. Kind regards Chris
