Applications are now open for the 2016 Indigenous Governance Awards
Reconciliation Australia, in partnership with BHP Billiton, are proud to launch the Indigenous Governance Awards (IGAs) for 2016.
We want to recognise and celebrate the effective governance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led organisations and initiatives that are benefiting families, communities and the nation.
If you work for or know of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander-led organisation or project that is really kicking goals, then we want to hear from you.
Eight successful finalists in the IGAs will hold the position as a finalist for two years, and will also be presented with various media and networking opportunities.
Prizes include:
• A share in $60,000 • Corporate mentoring and communications packages for all finalists • Feedback from the judging panel for all applicants
In 2014, the Indigenous Governance Awards highlighted the extraordinary work being done by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and projects across the country.
This year, we are looking for applications from Indigenous incorporated organisations (category A) and Indigenous non-incorporated groups, projects or initiatives (category B).
